Frequently Asked Questions

Inclusion in the directory does not mean that the charity or service is endorsed by us at SameYou. While we do not investigate the details that are voluntarily provided to us, we do make sure that we only include services that are useful to brain injury survivors.

We believe that the directory should be used as a signposting website rather than a recommendation of services to use, and so we make sure any fraudulent claims or opinions are removed before posting.

Please refer to our disclaimer for more information.

No, it is completely free. SameYou is committed to working with partners to improve access to neurorehabilitation services. We believe that this can only happen through collaboration. That is why we have set up the Neuro Directory, and why it is free to use and free to be registered on. By making it free to register any service, whether that be support group, charity, helpline and so on, can sign up. No matter how big or small.

SameYou are aware of the difficulty in maintaining the information in the Neuro Directory and keeping it up to date. There are two ways the pages will be kept up to date. First, when a service is registered SameYou will request a ‘Back Office Charity Contact Email’, this does not necessarily have to be the same as the main contact information displayed on the Neuro Directory to users. This Back Office Charity Contact Email will be used by us to contact each services every month to make sure there have been no changes. In addition, if there have been changes made to the contact information then you can make SameYou aware of this by emailing [email protected] with the updated information.

If you notice any errors within the Neuro Directory, or you cannot seem to access some of the linked pages then do not hesitate to get in touch by email [email protected] and we will rectify the problem.

We know that the list of services included in the Neuro Directory is not exhaustive. While SameYou is absolutely committed to growing this list and trying to make it as comprehensive as possible we can only include groups who have given us permission to do so. If you are aware of a service that you think that should be included then either get in touch with us via email at [email protected] or let someone from the service you think should be listed know about the Neuro Directory. By raising awareness of the Neuro Directory more and more groups can be added so that the network is as big as possible.

If the service signed up is no longer running or you wish to be removed from the Neuro Directory for whatever reason, then please email [email protected] with this request. We appreciate that some people may sign groups up without the consent of those who run the services; if you believe this has happened then do not hesitate to get in touch via email and we can remove your group.

SameYou will only display the information that you want to be displayed. We request a name, description or mission statement, services provided, website, logo, address, areas served, social media pages, name of charity contact and contact information. We are aware that not all groups will have websites or social media pages, which is totally fine. We will only display the information that you provide to us, and what you want to be displayed. We will not publish personal emails or telephone numbers without consent.

Any type of service which would be useful to those recovering from any kind of brain injury is welcome in the Neuro Directory. However, we have only included groups who have given us permission to do so. If you are aware of service that has not been included, then please do not hesitate to get in touch with us so we can try and get their permission. If you are unsure whether it is appropriate to include your service in the directory then do not hesitate to get in touch via email at [email protected].
