You Shall Go To the Halloween Ball with Alex Murphy

Dancing on Ice star and SameYou Ambassador, Alex Murphy, says she’s “so excited” to host the charity’s first-ever Halloween Ball.

Alex was 24-years-old when she had a stroke that left her unable to walk, talk and pursue her passion as a professional ice skater. She has spoken out about the help and support that charities like SameYou can bring to survivors and joined as an Ambassador last year.

The ball is being held on October 26 at The Ned in London and will consist of pre-dinner cocktails, a three-course feast and entertainment by singer Lynsey Shaw.

It will also feature a cabaret performance by The Cult Of, an exciting jazz, circus experience which regularly dazzles audiences at The Ned.

It promises to be a truly fang-tastic evening.

Alex grew up near Boston, USA, and won the 2020 Dancing on Ice with celebrity Joe Swash in the UK, and was also crowned champion of the hit show in the Netherlands.

She said: “I am so excited to be hosting Same You’s first-ever Halloween Ball! I know first-hand how slow the recovery process can be, and it is truly an honour to work alongside a charity that gives hope to young survivors and that understands that recovery doesn’t just end when you leave the hospital.”

All money raised will go to SameYou to develop better recovery treatment for survivors of brain injury.

We seed fund innovations in research and therapies; work with partners to deliver education programmes for healthcare professionals and deliver real-time group rehabilitation services to revolutionise care.
