SameYou's 4th Year Celebration
View our special webinar event which looks at SameYou’s work over the past 4 years and its plans for the future
Ambassador Alex Murphy (2 x Dancing on Ice winner, TV presenter and personality) hosts the webinar which looks back at SameYou’s work advocating for brain injury survivors.
The webinar was our chance to show you - our supporters, carers, brain injury survivors, partners and allies - the many important collaborations over the last 4 years and outline our goals for the future.
Our vision is to transform the way brain injury survivors and their loved ones are supported through emotional, mental health and cognitive recovery services. And in the last 4 years, we have delivered practical help and tangible improvements in recovery.
We have taken action to improve neurorehabilitation by working with clinicians and we have funded solutions, launched support networks and created awareness to drive change.
The webinar also includes an overview of the groundbreaking three-year study into the biopsychosocial impact of brain injury by Dr Ginger Polich of Spaulding Rehabilitation. It is a world leader in advanced rehabilitation treatment and research and the official teaching hospital for Harvard Medical School’s Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
It also outlines the brilliant work by the University of Central Lancashire and East Lancashire Hospitals Trust, which are running a pilot project of N-ROL - Neurorehabilitation Online - alongside SameYou. The work means survivors of stroke and brain injuries can access help in their own homes rather than attend hospital.
And we also reveal more about our work with The University of Edinburgh, who we have partnered with on the NursingNow programme, which focuses on the critical role nurses play in brain injury recovery.
