Share your return to work story

On the 21st March 2019, Emilia Clarke shared her deeply personal experiences of brain injury. She spoke of having two neurosurgeries and the consequent neurological symptoms such as losing her speech, pain, fatigue and the psychological impact. She has lived with the profound uncertainty that it may happen again, and, the ultimate fear that her own brain might kill her. Horrible as this all was, she realised she was not alone and that others had experienced similar things.

Telling Emilia's story was only the start of SameYou's journey as we grow and act as a catalyst to increase access to rehabilitation services and improved recovery for young adults after brain injury and stroke.

We are asking for people's stories about returning to work after a brain injury. We want to hear about your experiences to help inform other survivors as well as employers, in order to support people back into the workplace.

We hope that your stories and experiences will help unbreak the silence and stigma around this invisible injury.
