SameYou is a UK and US registered charity working to improve emotional, social and physical recovery after brain injury. Through research partnerships, workforce development, digital neurorehabilitation programmes and peer-support communities, SameYou helps bridge the gap between what survivors and families need and what traditional systems provide.

Working alongside clinical and academic partners in the UK and internationally, SameYou develops and supports innovative approaches to rehabilitation, community support and awareness.

Programme Manager (PMO)

Role: Programme Manager

Term: Fixed-term contract (12 months), with review at 6 months

Hours: 3 days per week (22.5 hours / 0.6 FTE), flexible across the working week

Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum, pro rata (£24,000 actual), dependent on experience

Location: Home-based (UK), with occasional in-person meetings in London (approximately 1–2 days per month). Reasonable travel expenses reimbursed.


About the Role

SameYou is seeking an experienced and self-starting Programme Manager to help strengthen coordination and delivery across our workstreams. This role is suited to someone with 5–10 years’ experience in programme or project management, ideally within health, charity or complex stakeholder environments.

Working closely with the leadership team, the Programme Manager will bring structure, organisation and clarity to ongoing projects, helping ensure delivery remains consistent, well-managed and aligned with the charity’s priorities.

This is a hands-on role within a small, highly committed team. Candidates should be comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities, and contributing to a collaborative and mission-driven environment.


Key Responsibilities

Programme & Operational Delivery

  • Coordinate delivery across SameYou’s core areas of work, supporting planning, timelines and reporting

  • Help manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring clear communication and progress tracking

  • Support the organisation of internal processes to strengthen day-to-day operations

Finance & Governance Support

  • Assist with project tracking, reporting and documentation linked to governance and funding requirements

  • Help maintain organised systems across programmes and partnerships

Stakeholder & Partnership Coordination

  • Support communication and coordination with clinical partners, collaborators and external stakeholders

  • Assist with relationship management across research, clinical and community initiatives

Project Development

  • Support the progression of new initiatives and pilot projects, helping move ideas into structured delivery


Who We’re Looking For

  • 5–10 years’ experience in programme or project management

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Confidence managing multiple workstreams in a small team environment

  • Experience working with health, charity, research or partnership-based programmes is desirable

  • Comfortable working independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team culture
